Regents

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) are referred to as the State Regents. They prescribe academic standards of higher education, determine functions and courses of study at state colleges and universities, grant degrees, and approve each public college's and university's allocations, as well as tuition and fees within the limits set by the Oklahoma Legislature.

The A&M Board of Regents is the governing board for Oklahoma State University and seven other state colleges that are in the A&M System.  Although every engaged in the governance of the institution, The Board delegate day-to-day management to the President of the institution.  Discussions with the President and administrators regarding operations and long-term plans are held regularly.
